11 January 2007: Daniel Paradis , author of A Strange Moon Over a Life , and Don McAlpine, translator of the book, did a tour of bookstores in and around the Ottawa-Gatineau area in preparation for more extensive signings and appearances.

A Strange Moon Over a Life is a collection of short stories bordering on the paranormal. Paradis and McAlpine have worked to make sure that the original French text (La feu sur la lune) lost nothing in translation to English. The language is dense and lyrical, working on many levels that the reader may not see upon first reading.
