Daniel Paradis' freewhelling imagination is well served by an efficient and original style. He is a professional translator, after all, and thus it should not be surprising that, just like one of his characters in the book, a master's touch is felt in his use of a "colourful and precise language [flowing] naturally". One can only wish that this is but the first book of many more to come and that the next one is a novel.
