Sue Burnham
Sue Burnham, a Maritime self-taught artist creates moving scenes that reflect the warm memories of days gone by. Growing up in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Sue developed a love of nature and histroical settings. She practiced crafts that eventually led to woodworking and tole-painting. Watercolor sketches soon followed. Sue now concentrates on oil paintings as her medium of choice. She relies on her travels and her hobby of photography for sources of ideas and inspiration.
Now living in Saint John, New Brunswick, Sue paints scenes from both areas that she calls home, paintings that evoke feelings of peace, contentment and a hometown community spirit.
Sue is the busy mother of two and only beginning what promises to be an enriching artistic career. Her future goals are to learn more techniques and to try new areas of creative expression, painting and otherwise. we can only hope that she continues to share her work with us, her neighbours in the Maritime community.
