When I was forty I had to retire due to my having a number of health problems. I became depressed and someone suggested I take up writing since I always had enjoyed it but never had the time. Now, whenever I receive an acceptance it always lifts my spirits. I’ve been fortunate to have had numerous cards accepted by Graphique de France, Peaceable Kingdom Press, Yippie Cards, 2000greetings, One Trick Pony, "Don’t Be Afraid to Say It, and now I’m so happy to say Trinity Enterprises etc." I’ve also had hundreds of poems, stories, articles on writing published in major publications such as Reader’s Digest, Mature Living, Canadian Writer’s Journal, Verses, MetroSeven (Australia), etc. I also have unrhymed as well as rhymed e–books and chapbooks up at www.thereadersretreat.com titled "The Essence of Love," Vol. I, II, & III, and "Poetry for Everyone," Vol. I & II.
