The brainchild of Trinity Enterprise, Inc.

McLuhan’s Market: an enormous, immense, limitless online cultural department store has opened.

Loonielink.com is the biggest cultural department store in the world.  There’s nothing else like it.

Loonie Link is a miracle designed to bring the little guys—the musicians who have never made it to the big time but are very good all the same; the self-published authors who have learned the hard way that it’s almost impossible to clear expenses working on your own; the painter who knows she has beautiful pictures to sell, but who sees them?; the craftsperson who dreams big and could make it if…; the owner of a small shop who could ship all over the world if only…

For one Canadian dollar (a loonie) you can rent a stall in the biggest virtual market ever, for a year, with the option to renew.

All you need is a computer, the skill to send and receive e-mail, and the vision to see that the world has gone digital. Members of loonielink.com fill in a simple application online.  They are approved within a day or two.

The member then sends photos of their products; covers of CDs and books, with descriptions of contents; snippets of information about the link’s self, home place, work, shop, own website, inspiration, dreams, ability to fill orders… and Trinity posts them to the website.

The Loonie Link program receives orders, routes them to the producer/supplier, accepts payment by secure online system… In short, the program does the work.  All the supplier has to do is fill the order, ship it to the buyer (who pays the shipping) and let Loonie Link know that this has been done, then sit back and receive Trinity’s cheque.

If the transaction involves only the supplier and the buyer, the supplier receives all the price of the sale (plus the shipping chargers which he/she has already paid) less 10% commission to Trinity.  The program keeps track of everything.

If a shop or agent is involved… Suppose a painting is sold through a gallery.  The gallery will receive the commission agreed upon with the artist plus shipping charges incurred, less 10%.

Loonie Link encourages participation.  An independent retailer—individual or shop—can sell online without the costs and hassle of going it alone.  Everyone wins.  There are no secrets.  If you facilitate a sale, you get a commission.  It’s all in the links.

It’s so-o easy.  In Canada, the program is even linked to Canada Post so that exact shipping costs by post can be accessed in a moment.  No other Canadian company has this convenience and benefit for all involved.

The beauty of the McLuhan Market is that there are no shelves to stock.  Products remain with the supplier till sold.  Vast savings in time, shipping costs, and hassle.

Anyone, anywhere in the world, whose original offerings for sale are legal and have some intrinsic value can join for one loonie a year.  No snake oil, please; just good stuff.

And if this release sounds like snake oil, it’s not.  That’s not snake oil but pure innovative enthusiasm you hear bubbling.
