George Fry

George Fry Although born in England, George Fry has lived most of his life in Canada, always in New Brunswick. He has worked as the Co–ordinator of Art Education in Saint John and as the Director of Craft Development in Fredericton. As part of his duties he was also Director of the College of Craft and Design from which post he retired in 1993. Since then he has been a full time artist, working primarily as a mask maker and theatre designer. He has had many exhibitions and his work is in both public and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. Having been brought up in a literary tradition, he writes for his own pleasure and he hopes for that of others.
